Growth
Order → chaos
A generative system of evolving lines, after Vera Molnár.
Context
Growth is a generative coding project developed in Processing, exploring how simple rules can produce complex and evolving visual systems. Inspired by Vera Molnár and Casey Reas, the project investigates how form can emerge from structured logic.

Growth. Concept
The project is built around the tension between order and disorder, control and release. It reflects a system that continuously shifts between stability and collapse, creating a visual language that feels both structured and unpredictable.
System
The animation begins from a minimal state and evolves through interaction. With a single click, lines expand, drift outward, and dissolve beyond the frame, continuously forming and breaking apart. This behaviour mirrors the idea of an event horizon, a boundary where motion and stillness coexist.
Interpretation
The project explores the beauty that exists between chaos and order. It reflects a system that never settles, but instead oscillates between formation and dissolution, revealing patterns that emerge from instability.
Between structure and collapse, systems find their rhythm.
